Audi unveils its impressive new A3 Sportback
March 09, 2020driversclub
Premium hatchbacks have long been Audi‘s ‘thing’, and have led the way when it comes to the best car to keep your golf clubs/carry your kids in.
Traditionally, new Audis have not looked too different from one model to the next, but the brand’s new A3 Sportback has grabbed our attention in more ways than one.
Easy on both the eye and wallet
Following the renewal of Audi’s latest fleet offerings, the new look may not come as a surprise to many.
What will though is the interior, which has been delicately angled to complement the exterior with a top-level, class-defining fit and finish – bringing new features such as onboard internet and fingertip recognition sat-nav entry.
The marque first launched its A3 series in 2012 and, at the time, blew the Mercedes A-Class and BMW‘s 1 Series out of the water for best all-rounder – not just in terms of performance, but for price too.
Eight years later and very little has changed, much to the annoyance of fellow roll-neck wearers at Mercedes, BMW and now VW. Indeed, starting at £24,900 OTR this five-door doesn’t cost that much more than a Golf.
Amy King, SEO and Social Manager at Drivers Club News, comments: “The Audi A3 Sportback has been long-anticipated and hasn’t disappointed. It’s also worth noting that this Audi model is from the new Volkswagen Group MQB platform line, meaning it’s predicted to sell lots of units in both the US and China, as well as the UK.”
