September 27, 2019driversclub

Lotus is set to make a splash in Dubai this month with the release of its new hypercar – the Evija.

Designed to be a “technical tour de force”, the model is an all-electric two-seater that is sure to set pulses racing and is the most advanced Lotus to date.

Built with the Middle East in mind

CEO of Lotus Cars Phil Popham commented: “It’s fantastic to be back in the UAE, and even better to be here as the Evija hypercar makes its regional debut.

“The Middle East is well-known for its passion for performance models, and this is an important market as we grow the Lotus brand significantly with new products.”

Indeed, it has been designed with the Middle Eastern climate in mind and is expected to appeal greatly to markets across the region.

That said, Lotus believes the new Evija will prove a popular model among buyers around the world, with its stunning looks and outstanding performance making it a worthy leader for the brand.

The model made its global debut earlier in the summer at Monterey Car Week in the US and has also been showcased as part of Japan Lotus Day. It continues a global tour that will last throughout the remainder of the year.

Steve Clarke, marketing manager at Drivers Club News, comments: “The new Evija is a fantastic addition to Lotus’ vehicle line-up and is sure to prove popular with big spenders across the globe.”
