Available now from £73,995 OTR, the manufacturer is offering three levels of trim: AMG Line Premium, AMG Line Premium Plus and AMG Line Premium Plus Executive.
What do you get?
Features of the entry-level AMG Line Premium include a range of mod cons. These include AIRMATIC Air Suspension with Active Damping, heated front and rear seats, the marque’s Keyless-Go Comfort package, heads-up display and 360-degree cameras.
Meanwhile, AMG Line Premium Plus trim adds Mercedes’ MBUX Rear Seat Entertainment System, heated front and rear armrests and MBUX augmented reality navigation.
Finally, the AMG Line Premium Plus Executive features all of the above, as well as 23-inch five-twin-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels, multi-contour front seats with massage functions and a heated nappa leather multifunction steering wheel.
Each model offers outstanding comfort and performance. They feature Mercedes’ 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine, which is capable of moving the vehicle from zero to 62 mph in 6.3 seconds, with a top speed of 148 mph.
Jess Wort, marketing manager at Drivers Club News, comments: “The new GLS 400 d is a stunning addition to the Mercedes range and UK drivers will be chomping at the bit to get their hands on this impressive motor.”
