MINI launches new convertible model

MINI fans might have a good excuse to get out their wallets this new year, as the marque has revealed a brand-new special edition model to add to its range.
Welcoming the MINI Convertible Sidewalk Edition
The MINI Convertible has already proven to be a resounding success among those who like to feel the wind in their hair on a sunny day, and the carmaker seems to want to build on this with the MINI Convertible Sidewalk Edition.
This design is limited to just 150 cars for UK customers, meaning anyone keen to get their hands on one should act quickly.
Featuring a 192 hp Cooper S powertrain and MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology, this little car will certainly pack some punch and ensure a nippy response wherever you’re driving.
Add to this Steptronic transmission, a double clutch and steering wheel paddles, and you’ll find unbeatably smooth gear shifts to make every journey as laidback as possible.
MINI has certainly not scrimped on extra design features either, with Deep Laguna metallic body paint, exterior mirror caps, bonnet stripes and 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels all combining to create a really sporty feel.
And don’t worry about the convertible roof being clunky, because the soft top can be electronically opened and closed in just 18 seconds.
MINI has also included a range of in-built tech as standard, with sat-nav, Real Time Traffic Information and Amazon Alexa functionality, to name but a few features.
You can order your own MINI Convertible Sidewalk Edition now from £34,215, with production set to start in March.
